What do I need to complete the liveness check?
- A smartphone or device with a working front-facing camera
- Good lighting (a well-lit room or natural light works best)
- A stable internet connection
How does the process work?
The liveness check takes about 1–2 minutes and follows these steps:
Grant camera access – Tap "Start Camera" to allow CatholicMatch to use your front-facing camera.
Center your face – Position your face within the oval frame on the screen.
- Start the video check – Tap "Start video check" when your face is centered.
Move closer if prompted – Follow any on-screen instructions (e.g., "Move closer") until the progress bar advances.
Hold still – The app will flash colors briefly. Hold your face still until the scan completes.
Verification Complete! – Tap "Continue" to proceed to your profile.
