There are two ways you can put a block in place from a member you don't want to communicate with further on the site.
How to Place a Block
The first way is if you receive a message from someone and don't want to hear from them again, you can block them from sending anything further.
You can prevent another member from contacting you by selecting "not interested" within the options menu in your conversation with them.

What Will the Blocked Member See?
When someone you've blocked tries to contact you again, they will receive an error message that states, "[member name] has decided not to receive messages from you".
Removing a Block
If you've had a change of heart and wish to remove a block, open your hidden messages by selecting "messages" at the top of your conversation list and then select "Hidden Messages".
Click on the conversation with the member you'd like to unblock, open the options menu in the conversation and then press "Open Communication"
Placing a Hard Block
The second method of blocking is more extreme and will completely remove you and the other person from ever seeing each other's profile and messages. To place a block this way, simply press the three dots to the right of their name on their profile, and select "block" as seen below:
Members can block up to 5 other members per 30-day period this way. This type of blocking is meant for more extreme cases such as to block an ex boyfriend/girlfriend/spouse, a coworker, someone you went on a date with that didn't work out, someone who was rude to you on the site, etc. This block cannot be undone.
After you click the "block" button, it will bring up a pop-up to confirm.
After blocking a member this way, if either of you try to go to the other person's profile, you will see this:
