What should I say in my profile?

Your profile is where other members will form their first impression of you, so make sure that you're putting time into presenting yourself in the best possible light. Only your introduction is required, but we recommend completing all sections so that others can get a good feel for who you are as a person.

As you complete your profile, keep these basic tips in mind:

  1. Stay Positive - Don't dwell on past failures or negative experiences you've had. Instead, focus on what you DO want in life and what you DO like.
  2. Proofread - You don't need to have perfect spelling or grammar, but make sure that you write clear enough that others can understand what you're trying to say.
  3. Ask a friend to read your profile - Someone who knows you well, can point out important qualities that may help you in your search or recommend removing or re-wording something that didn't come out quite right.

If you aren't sure where to get started, begin by answering the prompts that we show above each section of your profile on the edit page or by viewing other member's profiles. You can always add more to your profile or make changes later on.
